My first time as a legit photographer BY mao

So my friend Peter (the handsome one two photos below) asked me to be a volunteer photographer to cover a windsurfing event, SMU ITWC 2013.
I was like, SOMEBODY WANTS ME TO BE THEIR PHOTOGRAPHER?! ME? REALLY!? I instantly felt the weight of responsibility in producing some quality images - it's not at all the same shooting for yourself and for someone else.
I got very excited. Plus I love being at sea. Unfortunately I got a bit seasick after two hours on the boat and had to nap it off onshore haha (such a loser).
Here are a few of my favourite shots from yesterday! Thank you for the chance to cover the event and the faith in me, I hope I did good Peter!
The weather was wonderfully sunny at the beginning but you can see storm clouds gathering in the later part of the afternoon. I wanted to do it mainly portrait style, capturing the feel of the competition as well as the beautiful views they get out at sea.
Windsurfers look like butterflies flying sideways on water.
